Advantage No. 1: the European label ‘Brewing commune’
The European label ‘Brewing commune’ is awarded to mayors by ‘beBeer’ to reward local authorities that promote breweries and/or promoters of the beer world in their locality. The town/municipality will be awarded 1, 2 or 3 hops depending on the intensity of the brewing presence in the town/municipality (number of breweries, microbreweries, pubs, etc.). Being part of this network of labelled communes offers a whole range of advantages for tourism (guide, beer routes, etc.). Participation in the label is free for all members of the network.
Advantage No. 2: the digital guide and personalised brewing ID card.
A digital guide to Brewing Cities and Communes listing the cities and communes in each European country is available online for all beer lovers. Each commune that is a member of the network has a brewing identity card in this guide, which describes the intensity of the brewing presence in each commune. The beBeer ambassadors, Friends of beBeer and the brewing regions that are members of the network are also listed in the guide.
The first edition of the digital guide will be published at the end of 2025. You can already take a look at the layout.

Advantage No. 3: the world of beer, anywhere and anytime thanks to the ‘beBeer in your pocket’ web application

Support the network and become an ambassador
Through their support for the brewing actors in their commune, elected representatives - at all levels of government - are working to promote the brewing world: from hop growers to craft brewers, from beer lovers to beer tasters, from festival organisers to cooks who prepare beer recipes.
Thanks to their annual contributions, the elected members help to maintain a network that is independent of all advertising directly or indirectly linked to the brewing world. In return, they benefit from a whole range of advantages by being featured in the digital guide or by becoming a local/regional beBeer ambassador for one year.
